West Virginia attorney Sarah L. Hinkle focuses her practice on representing consumers whose rights have been violated by debt collectors, and employees whose rights have been violated by their employers. She is an experienced litigator and consumer advocate who has represented clients in state and federal courts in West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
When Sarah joined Hinkle Law in 2011, she helped make it a full service consumer firm. Now, in addition to offering consumer debt help, Hinkle Law can help its clients protect their rights against debt collectors and their employers. In just the short time that she has been at Hinkle Law, Sarah has become one of the leading consumer attorneys in West Virginia.
Prior to joining Hinkle Law, Sarah spent time as an attorney with Steptoe & Johnson, PLLC working in their labor and employment law group. Prior to moving back to West Virginia in 2005, Sarah spent time with the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania law firms of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.
Sarah was born and raised in Hancock County, West Virginia, in the Northern Panhandle. She is a graduate of Oak Glen High School. After graduating from Oak Glen, Sarah attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where she received a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations in 1999. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2002 and started her career as a West Virginia attorney immediately after. It was in law school where she met her future husband and law partner, David.
When Sarah is not practicing law, she likes to spend time with her family and friends. She is active in her church where she teaches Sunday school. She also serves on the board of directors of the Eastern Panhandle Free Clinic in Ranson, West Virginia.
Sarah is admitted to practice in the courts of West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
